Don’t allow yourself to be hungry all the time. This will make you more likely to binge on unhealthy foods. Don’t wait until you are very hungry to eat, because you will be more likely to make unhealthy choices. Set aside one day each week to prepare your snacks and meals in advance. When you leave for the day, have food with you. Take a brown bag lunch each day going forward. You can save money and get in shape while doing it.

Keep anything you can’t eat out of your home. At first that might be a shock to your family, but guess what? If it’s not good for you to eat, chances are it’s not good for them to eat either. Load your refrigerator and pantry with plenty of healthy food choices. Don’t worry, you won’t suffer from lack of snacks. Fruit makes a great snack for both children and adults. Keep a supply of granola and assorted healthy snacks in your pantry for everyone in your house to enjoy.


Ask your friends for help. Friends help each other out, right? Make sure that you have a support system of people who will cheer you on when things get tough. These people can provide the extra incentive to continue pushing onward. If things aren’t going well, reach out to your friends for support.
